St. Joseph’s Academy in North Bay, Ontario opened as an elementary and secondary day and boarding school for girls. It was taken over by the Sisters of St. Joseph of the Sault Ste Marie Congregation in 1936 and renamed St. Mary’s Academy in 1944 (to 1982).
